Fundraising Campaign for the Establishment and Development of the Non-Profit Association “Adozioni 4 Zampe”.

Purpose of the Fundraising Campaign

To establish and develop the activities of the Non-Profit Association “Adozioni 4 Zampe”, with particular focus on creating a shelter dedicated to welcoming and caring for elderly and otherwise non-adoptable four-legged friends.

Project Overview

In Sicily, where stray dogs are still widely present, many elderly or physically challenged dogs are left without a family. These animals ask for nothing more than a peaceful place where they can live their last years with dignity.

Goal

To raise €15,000 for the establishment of the Association and the purchase of a plot of land where a protected, senior-dog-friendly shelter will be set up: warm spaces, veterinary care, trained volunteers, and a “sustained adoption” program (distance sponsorship).

What We Will Create

Establishment of the Association

Purchase of a small plot of land in Sicily (fenced area)

Construction of simple but comfortable structures: raised beds, heated covered areas, space for veterinary visits and medicine storage

Equipment: beds, heated blankets, crates/shelters, washing area, waste and water management systems

Initial fund for veterinary care and sterilizations

Distance-adoption program and transparent reporting to supporters

Expected Impact

Initial accommodation for 10–20 elderly / non-adoptable dogs

Reduction of local animal suffering and relief for overcrowded shelters

Increased awareness about elderly animals and the issue of stray dogs
